Future Prospects: Bright!
In detail
When our client first approached us they had a feature list and plans for the application. They wished to hire programmers to work on Visual C# ’03, and SQL Server ’00 who would assist them in the designing and development of their application. The client had licenses for several third party tools that their Stylus Inc staff could work on.
After initial discussions with the client, our management proposed a very client-centric solution: a single developer who will coordinate with the client on a daily basis. The developer codes the application and the client manages the project.
Following the patterns of work established by the client was one of the minor challenges that their Stylus Inc programmer had initially. However, clear understanding of the work patterns was felicitated by excellent communication between the client and their Stylus Inc. programmer.
Their Stylus Inc. programmer, who’s an experienced Visual C# ’03, and SQL Server ’00 professional, communicated daily with the client – receiving instructions from them, providing inputs and updating the client on the status of the work. Apart from few initial miscommunications, everything was smooth. They used email, and chats for communication purposes.
During the course of the project, whenever their Stylus Inc. programmer had to go on a leave the client was always informed in advance. Also, Stylus Inc. auxiliary programmer used to step in to ensure the work was not stalled.
The client liked the idea of this auxiliary programmer – a programmer with the main programmer for no extra costs to the client. The auxiliary programmer is always up-to-date on the project and steps in to take the main programmer’s work if the latter has taken off due to unavoidable circumstances. This guarantees no matter what happens one programmer is working for them all the time, ensuring their dollars are not wasted and quality work is provided.
Also, while the client was highly satisfied seeing the implementation of his own ideas so well, he also liked the suggestions and ideas from our side. Being a software engineer himself, the client was highly impressed by Stylus Inc. technology expertise. His relationship with his Stylus Inc. programmer was very friendly and casual leading to a good rapport and faster time-to-market.
In conclusion, the project is now closed with the release of the version Stylus Inc. had worked on. The future looks bright as the client has expressed his desire to approach Stylus Inc. for more work in the future.
